George Washington to George Clinton

Morristown [New Jersey] May 18, 1780. Reports sailing of French fleet and army. States that men and supplies will be needed. Requests that legislature remain assembled until Congress takes necessary measures. Directs Clinton to send men to relieve regiment at Fort Schuyler.
