The Honorable the Congress have been pleased to appoint James Wilkinson Esqr. Clothier General who is to be considered and respected accordingly.1
The Sub—or State and regimental Clothiers will pay a strict and pointed attention to the ordinance of the 23rd of March for regulating the clothing department published in the General Orders of the 27th of June last.2
Lieutenant Daniel Shaw and Lieutt Thomas Pasteur of the 1st North-Carolina regiment are appointed the 1st Quarter Master from the 1st of June 78, and the 2nd Adjutant from the 26th of June 1779—Also Lieutenant Thomas Evans & Ensign Stephen Slade of the 2nd North-Carolina regiment are appointed the 1st, Adjutant from the 22nd of July 1778—and the 2nd, Quarter Master from the 1st of January 1778.3

Daniel Shaw was appointed an ensign in the 6th North Carolina Regiment in April 1777, and he was promoted to second lieutenant in October of that year. He transferred to the 1st North Carolina Regiment in October 1779. Shaw was taken prisoner after the fall of Charleston, S.C., in May 1780, and he was exchanged in June of the following year. Shaw left the army in January 1783.
Thomas Pasteur (Pasture; 1757–1806) was appointed an ensign in the 4th North Carolina Regiment in July 1777, and he transferred to the 1st North Carolina Regiment in June 1778. Pasteur was promoted to first lieutenant in November 1779. Taken prisoner at Charleston in May 1780, he was exchanged in December of that year. Pasteur became regimental paymaster in October 1782. He left the army in 1783, but he joined the U.S. Army as a lieutenant in June 1790, rising to the rank of major by April 1803.
Thomas Evans (d. 1789) was appointed an ensign in the 2d North Carolina Regiment in June 1776, was promoted to second lieutenant the following month, and was promoted to first lieutenant in May 1777. Evans joined the 1st North Carolina Regiment in January 1781. He was promoted to captain in July of that year and transferred to the 4th North Carolina Regiment in February 1782, where he served until January 1783.
Stephen Slade (1751–1789) became a quartermaster sergeant in the 2d North Carolina Regiment in May 1776. He rose to the ranks of ensign in September 1778 and second lieutenant in January 1780. Taken prisoner at Charleston, Slade was promoted to first lieutenant during his captivity and exchanged in June 1781. He served until January 1783.
