To Colonel George Baylor

Head Quarters Frederiksburgh Sepr 27th 1778

Dr Sir,

I have directed General Putnam to detach a brigade on the West side of the river, to take post somewhere near Clarks town1—You will join this Brigade with the cavalry under your command and act with it ’till further orders. I am Dr Sir Your most Obedt servant.
