9The commissioners had ordered 1,300 uniforms the previous summer, and shipment from Paris had begun by Oct. 3: above, XXIV, 366–7; Deane Papers, II, 167. At the meeting on Tuesday the 14th, which was to settle Coder’s bill, he received an order on Ferdinand Grand for 73,840 l.t.: Grand’s accounts (above, XXIV, 3), entry of Oct. 14.
