Head-Quarters Middle-Brook Wednesday May 26th 1779.

Parole Dominica—C. Signs Dunbar. Dee.

Accurate brigade returns regimentally digested of the deficiencies of clothing and necessaries to be forthwith made to the Adjutant General.

Lieutenant Colonel Regnier is appointed a Sub-Inspector and to be respected and obeyed accordingly.

Lieutenant Mitchel of the 1st Maryland regiment is appointed Adjutant of the same from the 1st instant.1

1John Mitchell (1760–1812) was appointed a second lieutenant in the 1st Maryland Regiment in December 1776 and was promoted to first lieutenant in June 1777. He was commissioned a captain in July 1779, transferred to the 4th Maryland Regiment in January 1781, and served until April 1783.
