[Diary entry: 14 November 1799]

14. Morning foggy—or rather Smoaky. Wind (tho’ but little of it) Southerly and Mer. at 40. About 9 it came out at No. Wt. & blew pretty fresh. Mr. Valangen came to dinner & stayed all night.
