From George Washington to James Madison, 16 December 1796

To James Madison

[Philadelphia] 16 Decr 1796

The President of the United States, requests the Pleasure of Mr Madison’s Company to Dine, on Thursday next, at 4 o’Clock.1

An answer is requested.2
