Sir,

I have the pleasure of acknowledging the Receipt of Your Excellency’s Favor of the 1st Inst., which, with the Paper enclosed in it, was immediately communicated to Congress.1 I have the Honor to be with the greatest Respect & Esteem Your Excellency’s most Obedient And Humble Servant
