I addressed you on the 9 April last & not having the pleasure of hearing from you Since—I presume my letter has Miscarried. I therefore take the liberty to trouble you with a copy of said Letter & Respectfully Sir ask your attention to my request. I am Sir   your very obed. Servt. The original of your letter of the 9th. of April never came to hand. The copy in that of the 9th. of June arrived here while I was on a circuit, so that I did not receive it till a few days ago.
