An entry in the executive minutes of Pennsylvania for June 6, 1791, reads: “Copies of a Letter from the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States declaring his acquiescence in the proposition of the Register General relative to the subscription to the loan proposed by the United States were transmitted to the Comptroller General and Register General” (Pennsylvania Archives, 9th ser. description begins Pennsylvania Archives, 9th ser.
