10 April 1801, The Hague. No. 130. Transmits paper telling of British naval operations off Copenhagen. Reports that the death of Czar Paul has raised hopes for end of European hostilities. Believes Grand Duke Alexander, now succeeded to throne, is an “enlightened steady man.”
