Sir,
In Consequence of an intimation expressed in your letter to Mr. Sanford1 I now enclose my account for services rendered in the causes of the United States against Smith & Ogden.2
I wish the arrangement, as to payment, may be so made, as that I may receive my money at the Branch bank in this City.3 I am with Great respect and Consideration Your Obedt. Servt.

2. The enclosed account (1 p.), dated 2 Oct. 1806, charged $500 for “Counsel fees,” and bears Jacob Wagner’s 7 Oct. 1806 verification of JM’s approval.
3. In an undated note below the letter, Wagner wrote that he had informed Edwards that this request would be honored.
