The accompanying tract may have been Anthony fothergill, Remarks on the Smut and Mildew of Wheat With Hints on the Most Probable Means of Prevention (Philadelphia, 1808). Best known for his work on reviving drowning victims, Fothergill was a physician and foreign member of the American Philosophical Society (1792) who practiced medicine in Philadelphia between 1803 and his return to England in 1812.
