18 September 1804, Baltimore. “The Secretary of State will much oblige me by replying to the forgoing statement of Mr Ferror1 to which it is not in my power to add anything new, or material.”

1Ferron’s letter to Hollins (1 p.; n.d.) enclosed copies of a list of the expenses and previous payments in the case of the Dove, Isaac Isaacs master (2 pp.), and a 15 May 1804 letter from Samuel Cabot to Ferron (1 p.) enclosing the list. Ferron asked Hollins to inquire at the State Department whether any further vouchers were needed for Ferron to receive the funds due him.
