From Jeremiah Olney

Providence, February 23, 1792. “… I have deposited in the Providence Bank, agreeable to your directions of the 7th Instant, 4,097 Dollars & 18½ Cents,… having retained 40 Dollars for my present private Expences, not doubting it would meet with your approbation, as the Emoluments of my Office afford me little or no Support.”
