I have the pleasure of receiving your letter of the 26th. of April2 and with it the half barrel of Mess Pork. It is excellent. Nothing could have been more acceptable to me. 1Wadsworth, a resident of Hartford and a Federalist, was deputy commissary general and commissary general of purchases during the American Revolution and a member of the House of Representatives from 1789 to 1795. He was a member of the executive council of Connecticut from 1795 to 1801.
