From Alexander Hamilton to the President and Directors of the Bank of New York, 1 December 1794

of the Bank of New York1

[Treasury Department, December 1, 1794. Henry W. Domett states that on this date Hamilton wrote to the president and directors of the Bank of New York asking that the bank lend one hundred thousand dollars to the United States.2 Letter not found.3]

3. Although this letter has not been found, see the similar letters which H wrote to the president and directors of the Bank of North America and of the Bank of Pennsylvania on December 1, 1794.
