I shall commit them to the care of Mr: Saml: Bradford1 who goes on for Nantes (by the way of Paris) where he will meet with Mr. Austin. I have requested him to present the Bills for acceptance.
Mr Adams is at Amsterdam where I am about going tomorrow.— We have nothing new. Your letter to him has been received.2 I am dear Sir with much respect and esteem your most obedient and most humble Servant

1. Samuel Bradford (XXVIII, 278n) had made a brief trip to Europe at the beginning of 1779: XXIX, 358. By July 31, 1780, he was back in Europe, as on that date he wrote JW from Amsterdam and forwarded him letters from his friends: JW to Bradford, Aug. 29, 1780 (Yale University Library). He was in Passy on Nov. 6; BF gave him a passport to Nantes, good for one month (Dartmouth College Library).
2. Presumably BF to JA, Oct. 2, above.
