Neither the clockmaker nor the organ have been identified, but given the combination, it is possible that Fournier was offering BF the chance to hear one of the fantastic mechanical organ clocks that were so popular at the time. A variety of them are pictured in Arthur W.J.G. Ord-Hume, Barrel Organ: the Story of the Mechanical Organ and Its Repair (South Brunswick and New York, 1978), following p. 204.
