I have the Honour of your Excellency’s Letter of the 18th Instant, and immediately took measures for carrying your designs respecting the Vessels into execution.
I have inclosed a Letter containing Accounts &c. from Doctr Brown, and an Account from Mr Singletary; and wait your Directions respecting them.1 There are several accounts similar to Mr Singletary’s yet unsettled. Should your Excellency approve those accounts, they cannot be paid until the arrival of more money. I am Sir Your Excellencys Obedient Humble Servant

Amos Singletary’s account dated 2 April shows a balance due him of $30 13/18 out of a total of $1,364 1/18 charged against GW for 133 firearms that Singletary supplied the Continental army (DLC:GW). For GW’s action regarding these accounts, see his letter to Ward of 9 May 1776. Amos Singletary (1721–1806) of Sutton, Mass., served in the Massachusetts provincial congress during 1775 and in the General Court 1775–81, 1783–84, and 1787. On 17 April 1776 Singletary settled an account with the General Court for blankets furnished to the colony (see , Mar.–May 1776 sess., 142).
