Philadelphia 9th: February 1809.

Mr. Pedersen has the Honor to present his Compliments to the Secretary of State, and to acknowledge the receipt of his Note of the 4th. instant enclosing a Letter from the President of the United States to His Majesty the King of Denmark and Norway, and also a Copy of the Same for His Excellency the Minister of foreign affairs.
