§ Richard O’Brien to William Kirkpatrick

16 August 1802, Algiers. Describes the French response to demands made on them by the dey and the state of relations between Algiers and Great Britain, “the Dons” of Spain, and Portugal, and suggests that the dey might next direct his aggressions against the Scandinavian countries or the United States. Asks to have his letter forwarded to JM.
