Your obliging Letter of the 29 July reached me two Days ago1—accept my thanks for your friendly Congratulations on my arrival, and those paid Mrs. the Terms of approbation in which you mention my appointment is among the number of the ^make one of the^ very few Compliments ^on^ which I value. The acceptance of it ^that Place^ is a Subject on which I wish ^hope soon^ to converse with you ^in the Course of a few weeks^2— Mrs. Jay is at Eliz. Town—^where I shall also expect ^^also^^ to ^^be^^ next week^— Be pleased to make my best Compts. to Mrs. Thomson, and believe me to be Dr Sr. Your afft. ^Fd. &^ Servt.
