Sunday March 31. 1793

Mr. Hamilton presents his Compliments to Mr. Jefferson. The warrant for the sum in question will be forwarded to him tomorrow. Mr. J may therefore count on finding the money ready to pay for the bills which he may engage, as early as he pleases tomorrow.

RC (DLC); endorsed by TJ as received 31 Mch. 1793 and so recorded in SJL.

Hamilton sent the warrant this day rather than tomorrow (Report on the Fund for Foreign Intercourse, 18 Apr. 1793).
