Camp on Long Island July 22 1776

Sir

Col. Hand Reports this morning the Ships that came in yesterday have Troops on board, they appear to be drest in the high Land habit. nothing material has happend in this Camp since yesterday. I have the honnor to be your Excellencys most obedient humble Servant
