To James Madison from Albert Gallatin, 11 October 1812

From Albert Gallatin

Sunday evening Ocr. 11. 1812

Respectfully Your’s

Albert Gallatin

RC (DLC). Docketed by JM.

1The details of this proposed change have not been found, but it may have involved Monroe’s replacing Eustis in the War Department (Brant, Madison description begins Irving Brant, James Madison (6 vols.; Indianapolis and New York, 1941–61). description ends , 6:120).
