To Thomas Jefferson from David S. Franks, December 1786

From David S. Franks

[Paris] Dec. 1786.. Chateaumont, the gentleman Carmichael wished to be presented to TJ, could call this afternoon if convenient to TJ. Franks’ trunks have not yet arrived but he will be ready to leave as soon as they are received; hopes it will be only two or three days.

RC (DLC); 3p.; addressed, in part: “Chaillot”; endorsed; without date and not recorded in SJL, but obviously written during December while Franks was in Paris.
