§ From Valentín de Foronda

14 October 1809, Philadelphia. Has just finished reprinting the enclosed little pamphlet on the Spanish constitution with many additions. Flatters himself that JM will look with indulgence on his additions, since Jefferson has condescended to praise his blottings. Is about to depart for Cádiz.
