Stanton, eds., Jefferson’s Memorandum Books: Accounts, with Legal Records and Miscellany, 1767-1826, Princeton, 1997, The Papers of Thomas Jefferson, Second Series description ends , 2:1112). Lillie sent TJ a receipt, dated 14 Dec., for the money received “by the hand of Jacob Eustis,” William Eustis’s brother, being “payment in full for the Constitutional Telegraphe” for a year and a half, but stipulating from 1 Oct. 1800 to 1 Apr. 1801 (MS in MHi, in Lillie’s hand and signed by him; Vol. 39:368n).
