According to SJL TJ wrote to Joseph Roberts as well as to Barnes on 31 May. Neither that letter to Roberts nor communications from him of 6 June, recorded incongruously in SJL as received on the same day as written, have been found. One from Barnes dated 10 June, which TJ received on the 20th, is also missing.
