New York, April 18, 1788. Backhouse on this date made the last entry in an account which he had kept with Hamilton who was acting as agent and legal representative for John B. Church. The account deals with bills of exchange which Backhouse discounted for Church. The first entry is February 18, 1788, the last April 18, 1788.
