§ From Ezekiel Pattee

14 January 1811, Winslow, District of Maine. As an officer who served in the American Revolution and is now “advanced in age,” solicits an appointment to command one of the forts in the District of Maine.

RC (DNA: RG 107, LRRS, G-113:5). 1 p. In an unidentified hand, signed by Pattee. Witnessed by James Stackpole and David Pattee who testified as to the facts in the petition. Docketed by a War Department clerk as received 18 Feb. Enclosed in Barzillai Gannett to Eustis, 15 Feb. 1811 (ibid.), with the observation that Pattee “has been a respectable and useful citizen.”
