§ From Joseph Nourse

6 October 1804, Treasury Department, Register’s Office. “I beg leave to request that the usual Estimates for the year 1805 may be prepared and transmitted to the Treasury Department, as early as convenient, for the purpose of being laid, by the Secretary of the Treasury before the Legislature of the United States at their ensuing session.”
