<Basinghall St., April 26, 1771, a note in the third person. Sorry that he has been too rushed with important business, which had to be finished that week, to call on Franklin about the Georgia affair;9 will do so next Monday morning, if convenient, at eleven.>

9. In all likelihood the preparation of a memorial to the Board of Trade, requesting that the Parliamentary grant to Georgia for 1771 be turned over to BF as agent. The Board forwarded the memorial to the Treasury on May 10. Board of Trade Jour., 1768–75, pp. 245–6.
