§ To Albert Gallatin. 10 June 1806, Department of State. “I request you will be pleased to cause three thousand dollars to be placed in the Branch Bank at Boston to the credit of James L. Cathcart Esqr. from the appropriations for Barbary Intercourse—Mr. Cathcart to be charged with the same.”
