The second of the same tenor and date of the within not being paid, be pleased to issue to David Standeford for James F. Moore, a warrant for nine thousand pounds on Account.

RC (Vi: Contingent Fund Vouchers); in a clerk’s hand, signed by TJ; written on verso of “the within,” which was a sight draft on the Treasurer of Virginia, signed “Jas. Frs. Moore D. C. Genl. Purchases Illinois Dept.,” countersigned by George Rogers Clark, dated at Louisville, 15 Jan. 1781, and drawn in favor of David Standeford “for a quantity of Beef furnished the Illinois Department.”
