Peter Ogilvie Jnr.: although he apparently did not accept his commission as a cadet, Ogilvie eventually served as a captain of infantry during the War of 1812 (Dearborn to Ogilvie, 13 Dec., DNA: RG 107, LSMA; Heitman, Dictionary description begins Francis B. Heitman, comp., Historical Register and Dictionary of the United States Army, Washington, D.C., 1903, 2 vols. description ends , 1:757).

After receiving his commission, Ethan Augustus Allen served in the artillery until 1821 (Dearborn to Allen, 13 Dec., DNA: RG 107, LSMA; Heitman, Dictionary description begins Francis B. Heitman, comp., Historical Register and Dictionary of the United States Army, Washington, D.C., 1903, 2 vols. description ends , 1:158).
