§ To Albert Gallatin

31 October 1812. In accordance with a 3 Mar. 1809 act of Congress,1 directs “that the sum of fifty thousand dollars be applied out of the appropriation of Sulphur & Salt Petre to Provisions & twenty five thousand dollars out of the same appropriation to Contingent expenses.”
