Henry Lee (1787–1837), the son of Henry “Light-Horse Harry” Lee of Revolutionary War fame, and half brother of Robert E. Lee, was a graduate of the College of William and Mary and a veteran of the War of 1812. He wrote a number of books, including two in defense of his father, and pamphlets and newspaper articles in support of Andrew Jackson’s presidential campaign.
