MS (ViU: TJP-PP); in TJ’s hand; with notes in an unidentified hand between the entry for 1820 and the final paragraph, consisting of “2 Years 7 mo:” and related marks used to tally this date range, presumably the tenure of Michele Raggi and Giacomo Raggi, each of whom served the University of Virginia for about one year and seven months between February 1819 and September 1820; endorsed in same unidentified hand: “M Js calculation of Raggi Wages,” followed by a seemingly unrelated calculation.
