Promissory Note to Hugh Nelson
I promise to pay to the honble Hugh Nelson or order on or before the 1st day of January next one hundred and five Dollars for value recieved. witness my hand this 7th day of August 1814.

TJ owed Nelson for a purchase of cattle. He recorded payment of $105.87 on 11 May 1815 and of $2.38 on 20 June 1815, with Edmund Bacon delivering both sums to Nelson (
, 2:1301, 1308, 1311).
