Junius, the new edition with fac similes.

Franklin’s works. Duane’s edition.

Pike’s journey thro’ Mexico & Techas.

The Book. [concerning the Princess of Wales.]1

when I wrote for what had come out of Hening’s statutes, I mentioned that I had only his 1st vol. you sent me the 3d alone. I must now ask for the 2d. the stage office requires to have it’s memory jogged at times, or it forgets to forward these things. present your bill always to mr Gibson for paiment, who knows that I am in the habit of getting books from you from time to time. Accept the assurance of my esteem and respect.

The new edition was Junius: including Letters by the same Writer, Under Other Signatures (now first collected), ed. Henry S. Woodfall, 2 vols. (Philadelphia and New York, 1813; Sowerby, description begins E. Millicent Sowerby, comp., Catalogue of the Library of Thomas Jefferson, 1952–59, 5 vols. description ends no. 2742). Zebulon Montgomery Pike’s journey thro’ mexico & techas (Texas) formed the third part of his Account of Expeditions to the Sources of the Mississippi (Philadelphia, 1810; Sowerby, description begins E. Millicent Sowerby, comp., Catalogue of the Library of Thomas Jefferson, 1952–59, 5 vols. description ends no. 4169; Poor, Jefferson’s Library description begins Nathaniel P. Poor, Catalogue. President Jefferson’s Library, 1829 description ends , 7 [no. 371]). The princess of wales, Caroline Amelia Elizabeth, the estranged wife of the prince regent, had been investigated in 1806 at the behest of King George III amidst rumors that she had borne or would soon bear a child out of wedlock (ODNB description begins H. C. G. Matthew and Brian Harrison, eds., Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, 2004, 60 vols. description ends , 10:208).
