Brig Hope from Baltimore bound for Trieste with coffee, sugar, and pepper is detained at Gibraltar, as is brig Hunter of Baltimore from Alicante with cargo of barrilla for Dublin. Commander of latter informs him of five Tripolitan cruisers on coast of Catalonia.
