From Alexander Hamilton to Tobias Lear, [5 September 1791]

To Tobias Lear

[Philadelphia, September 5, 1791]

The Secretary of the Treasury presents his compliments to Mr. Lear and sends the two commissions for south Carolina.1 He would wait on the president to day but is prevented by a slight attack of a disorder common to him at the change of weather usual at this season.
