In addition to the account below, Gelston likely also enclosed an invoice for freight charges, dated 10 Oct., from a representative of the Thetis, the brig that had transported TJ’s wine from Bordeaux (MS in ViU; in J. Speyer’s hand and endorsed by him for receipt of payment of $25.55 on 14 Oct.).
