[October 6, 1792. On November 3, 1792, Tench Coxe wrote to Polk: “The Secretary of the Treasury has just sent to this office your letter to him of the 6th of October.”2 Letter not found.]

1. Polk was supervisor of the revenue for the District of North Carolina.
