Treasury Department, Revenue Office, April 23, 1794. “I have the honor to request that a Warrant may Issue in favor of John Mease as agent for John & C: Wilkins Jr. & Co. of Pittsburg for two Thousand dollars for purchase of whiskey for the Army.…”1
