Springfield [New Jersey] June 14, 1780. Orders Heard to deliver all horses to the quartermaster general and “all the Cattle unfit for immediate use to the Contractor of the Country.”

Df, in writing of Richard Kidder Meade, George Washington Papers, Library of Congress. Signature in Meade’s writing is “AH, ADC.”
