Sir

A few days since a small package of Coffee, directed to you, came into my hands; the package has been lying in this City for more than a twelvemonth—but from whence it came I am unable to ascertain —I shall be happy to follow any instructions you may give respecting it & am

The mercantile firm of E. Williams operated at 235 Pearl Street for roughly a decade beginning about 1811 (Longworth’s New York Directory description begins Longworth’s American Almanac, New-York Register, and City Directory. New York, 1796–1842 (title varies; cited by year of publication) description ends [1811], 325; [1821], 471).
