Philadelphia 29th: September 1800


By a Letter from my Brother, J Q Adams, dated at Berlin the 10th: of June, I am informed that he had remitted to you in London, the Sum of Five hundred pounds Sterl: which you were advised to pay against my draught—

I have according to my instructions, this day drawn for the above amount in your hands, in two Setts of Exchange, one Sett for Three hundred & one for Two hundred pounds Sterling, at thirty days, in favor of William & John Wister Junr: or Order; which I doubt not will meet due honor—.
